IF you still don't want to spend the money on the expansions I guess a good alternative would just buy the sims 3 worlds off sims 3 websites. Buy all of their copies and u save money and have all the expansions. However, if you really want cheap packs and have a pc with a CD drive I say go try to find someone used copies of sims 3. It's hard to tell which one is "useless" when together all the packs give you a lot of things to do, a lot of items etc. However, I think all the packs are worth it one way or another. EA/Steam prices are not worth it EA are being jerks again sims 3 used to go on sale all the times that stop once sims 4 keeps going on sale and now sims 4 is on steam so I doubt sims 3 will get another massive discount sale again.
